Freedom is Calling

Placeholder ImageIf I could say one thing to the women of the world, it would be this: BE FREE! A call to freedom! We need to realize that we have freedom in the Lord available every day. By His unfailing faithfulness, He awakes us new every morning and offers us a life without the bondage that weighs us down. He calls us to live in victory and to lead others to victory. However, there is a war waging and the enemy is hard at work to stop us, with his lies and deception. The enemy wants us to believe that God can’t use us, that we are damaged goods, that we are not worthy of His love. The enemy wants us to believe the lies and live imprisoned. BUT! We know how the story ends…our God has victory! And that victory is ready for us now!

— Isaiah 60:1-4

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion – to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit, THAT THEY MAY BE CALLED OAKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE PLANTING OF THE LORD, THAT HE MAY BE GLORIFIED. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they raise up the former devastations. They shall repair the ruined cities and the devastationS of many generations.

FREEDOM is calling us to encounter the Holy Father, by the reading and studying of His Word. As we get to know the Lord, we become overwhelmed with His love for us. We fall in love with Him and who He is. We believe that He is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do. And when we are at His feet, staring into His glory and majesty, our worries become smaller in comparison to Him. Our burdens no longer weigh us down. We may not know the when, where, how, why, or what in our lives – but we can know the WHO!

— Luke 1:45

And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.

— 1 Corinthians 2:9

What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.

— Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

FREEDOM is calling us to accept the salvation of Jesus Christ. We become overwhelmed by our sin and failures, and we realize the very real truth that we are destitute without Him…but then we realize the very real truth that our Lord denied Himself and suffered the ultimate torture and humiliation, so that our sin no longer stands between Him and us. Let that hit you…the creator of the universe hung on that cross so we could know Him intimately and so we would not be defined by our sin anymore, but by His forgiveness. When we come face to face with this overwhelming and undeserving truth, our only response is to love Him and serve Him. Not out of obligation or duty, for the Lord not want our religious acts, but out of sheer overflowing love for Him!

— Hebrews 1:3

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the Word of his power.

— Isaiah 43:10

You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He.”

— Isaiah 43:18&19

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold I am doing a new thing, now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

—Isaiah 51:3

For the Lord comforts Zion. He comforts all all her waste places and makes her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the voice of song.

FREEDOM is calling us to realize the power of the Holy Spirit! See, so many of us stop at step two. But we are missing the key to unleashing victorious living. When Jesus Christ ascended into heaven after His resurrection, He told us that He was leaving a Helper for us. This Helper is the Holy Spirit. Jesus even went so far to say that it was “better” for us that He go into heaven to sit beside the Father and that we have the Holy Spirit here with us! We need to realize and BELIEVE that the very same power that worked through Jesus Christ is within us as daughters of the King. And that we have the power, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, provided by the love and forgiveness of the Father, to tread on the enemy and stomp him to the ground! We have been given all authority to proclaim victory over the enemy. When the Holy Spirit is unleashed and living and active in our lives, we can take back our families, our hearts, our homes, our children, our husbands – and we can tell the enemy to go!

— Luke 9:1

And He CALLED the twelve together and GAVE them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and He SENT them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal.

 — Isaiah 43:2

But now says the Lord, He who created you, O Jacob, she who formed you, O Israel. Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned; and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
